The Race

From the tortoise and the hare to the frog and the snail; both stories share the same moral. Taking our time to reach the finish line. Most of us try to move too fast in situations instead of being patient and prepping for the come up. You can't partake in a triathlon without practice and make yourself believe you'll win; so why set yourself up for failure? We have to train and prep for the prizes that are given at the end of the race, it's not just handed to us.

Time Isn't Promised

We all take time for granted. When it comes time to be aware of the seconds counting down we find ourselves in a pickle. Instead of being stressed why not prepare and build better time management? Where you set your priorities determines how far your happiness will go. In business, time management and planning are two in one. Invest in a planner to schedule adequately or set reminders in your phone and stick to it. Overbooking and being late is not only unprofessional it’s also embarrassing. If you need to leave early to make it on time do so. Always keep in mind that being on time means that you are late; time waits for no one!

Work Smarter Not Harder

Just because an opportunity presents itself as gold doesn't mean you're getting fruitful work. Take time to evaluate your circumstances and all the possibilities that are on your plate. Number the process step by step and move accordingly. Don't make any impulsive moves because it may be your last and worst move. Brains before bronze. Achilles, the greatest warrior was defeated by something so minor. Remember who and where your sources come from and use them to the best of your ability. If you're feeling lost on how to build upon your foundation, fall into prayer so that when you get up you're ready to conquer. Abraham Lincoln said, "If I had nine hours to cut down a tree, I'd spend the first six sharpening my ax."

Preparation Is The Key To Your Success! Make a plan and stay the course. If you detour, make sure it's for the better of your business, schooling, life choices, etc. When those punches are flying, and best believe they will be prepared to overcome those obstacles. You didn't start this race to lose. READY! SET! GO! Make it to the finish line, and don't let anyone steal your shine!
